Therapy That Supports the Whole Family In Palm Desert and Throughout California
Family life can be beautiful, but let’s be honest, it can also be overwhelming, messy, and full of moments that leave you feeling stuck.
Maybe you're caught in the same argument on repeat.
Tiptoeing around tension.

You’re not alone.
And you don’t have to navigate it alone either.

Hi, I’m Sophie Bain-Tohl (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Haven Wellness. I work with families navigating transitions, disconnection, communication challenges, or emotional overwhelm at home. My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration, helping each family member feel seen, heard, and supported.
What to Expect:
Family therapy creates space for everyone to slow down, speak honestly, and work through patterns that may be causing stress or disconnection. We’ll explore how your family communicates, handles conflict, and supports one another, and I’ll help you build tools to create more understanding and connection at home. Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and always tailored to your family’s unique dynamics and needs. -
I show up with warmth, honesty, and zero judgment. I’m not a blank slate kind of therapist — I’ll reflect, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge you when it feels supportive. Our work is collaborative, embodied, and paced with care. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start.
